Women's Soccer Set to Host Bay Path in NECC First Round
HENNIKER, NH The number three seed New England College Women's Soccer team hosts number six Bay Path Wildcats in a New England Collegiate Conference quarterfinal match. The game will take place at 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 2nd.


Earlier this season, New England College won the regular-season matchup against Bay Path 2-0 on September 28th.

The Wildcats come into the game as the six seed grabbing the final spot in the New England Collegiate Conference playoffs. Bay Path went 2-5 in conference play during the regular season picking up wins against Dean College and Mitchell College. Joanna Feliciano leads the Wildcats on offense, as she has scored a team-high 16 goals. Heaven Rodriguez is a key cog in the Bay Path offense, as she leads the team with five assists. Caitlyn Esposito has been the mainstay for the Wildcats in goal, as the senior has recorded 88 saves on the year with a pair of shutouts.

The Pilgrims head into the postseason as the three seed hoping to make it back to the conference finals for the fifth time in six years. New England College finished the regular season 5-1-1 in conference play with their only loss in conference play against Lesley University. The Pilgrims placed three players on all-conference teams with Paquin picked up first-team honors as well as Rookie of the year, while Leeann Demirjian and Madison Wheeler found their way on the second team.

Molly Bieksha paced the Pilgrims with six goals and 13 points, while NECC Rookie of the Year Paquin chipped in five goals and tied Bieksha with three game-winning goals. In net for NEC, head coach Paul Vazquez has split time between sophomores Allie Stoddart and Emily Sashko. The duo has combined for seven shutouts and a 0.767 save percentage.

The winner of the game will take on No. 2 seeded Elms College in the NECC Semifinals on Wednesday, November 6th.
